PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR  

Giovanna Ciocca is board certified in both dermatology and pediatrics. After completing her Pediatric Dermatology fellowship at Miami Children's Hospital, she joined the pediatric dermatology practice at the hospital where she practiced for nearly 5 years before moving to private practice.

Giovanna Ciocca is board certified in both dermatology and pediatrics. After completing her Pediatric Dermatology fellowship at Miami Children's Hospital, she joined the pediatric dermatology practice at the hospital where she practiced for nearly 5 years before moving to private practice.

Since the beginning of her training, she has participated in multiple phase one to phase three trials and is currently focused on special trials involving breakthrough treatments for children and adults' skin conditions. She has written and edited several articles, both in general and pediatric dermatology journals, as well as co-authored a chapter of a pediatric dermatology book.

Marilyn Fleites is a certified clinical research coordinator and a Family Nurse practitioner at Skin Research of South Florida and Ciocca Dermatology. Marilyn has collaborated in multiple clinical trials. She joined our team in March 2020. Marilyn graduated from medical school as a medical doctor at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences, Cienfuegos, Cuba. Marilyn completed her certification as a specialist in family medicine in 1999 in, Havana Cuba. A certified specialist in dermatology in 2007, in Havana Cuba, and completed her Master of Science in medical genetics in 2015, in Havana Cuba. Marilyn has professional affiliations with Ibero Latin America College of Dermatology, (CILAD) Latin America Society of Pediatric Dermatology (SLADP), and the American Aesthetics Association. Marilyn has years of research experience since 2007 and has been published several times in dermatological publications.
